There are only four bridges over the Grand Canal in Venice; the main ones being the famous Rialto Bridge (from which the image below was taken), and the Ponte degli Scalzi (Bridge of the Barefoot Monks) adjacent to the train station from which I composed this image. We took the train from our hotel across the causeway in nearby Quarto D'Altino. The modern train station is surprisingly busy - 14 tracks, as it is the primary means of access to Venice.
I didn't carry my tripod, so cranked up the ISO and rested the camera on the bridge railing for this 1/6 second exposure. I tried longer exposures, but with so many people and boats moving in the scene, it was a blurry mess.
