So we rock up to a new restaurant, hoping for a pleasant experience but basically we were meeting up with our son for lunch so that was the main thing. We walk in and see a large Día de los Muertos (Mexican festival: day of the dead) picture on the wall and the receptionist in kinda Frida Kahlo mode and with a big red blossom in her hair. [Fortunately, no monobrow. ;-) ] .
I say “Hey Frida, you look so lovely today – may I take your picture?” She smiles, says “sure, why not” and hunkers down for a head on arms pose on the counter. Click, click, snap & viola.
