Though it has a nice balance, compositional flaws and a lack of any really defining feature kept this photo buried on the hard drive for many months. Finally, I decided that the image does a good enough job celebrating the beauty of the location that I don't really mind if it doesn't make me look like the most inspired photographer ever.
Last time I visited this depth in the cave, it was dark to the point of being impossible to photograph. I couldn't even see where I was stepping without the use of a headlamp. I think the darkness was due to the thick layer of snow on the surface of the glacier overhead. I may have to look for some shallower caves next time I'm out.
