Should i take the train or use the Vortex to transport myself? AFter having searched for ages, for clear skies and no moon and good weather and every other possible hurdles that can stand in your way, finally one good night dawned on us which helped shoot this unusual composition of the night sky...After about 1 mile of hike into the boondocks we ran into an old railway bridge..few miles away from this bridge we did notice the green light on for a train to pass by. Luckily the trail in the woods was running along the north side which helped compose the North star into the frame..the yellow light on the leafless trees are from engine lights of the passing goods carrier train which took over ten minutes to pass by completely. The trees where fairly illuminated with a LED flashlight (on the left).
This picture was shot at -3C with a stack of 150 images. I have only done fair amounts of photoshop enhancements (no layering or blending of elements in this picture).
a few shots of single malt (16yrs) always helps :)
