I went chasing the light the other evening and found something unique. The river is frozen over this time of year (not unique), but someone has actually been driving their snow-plow out on the river and clearing a road out beyond these little islands to where they have their ice shack for fishing. I walked along it for a ways, but was drawn to this particular spot where the wind has created great patterns in the skiff of snow that contrasts nicely with the ice beside it. Thanks to the great VC of the Tamron I was able to shoot this shot at 1/20th of a second despite temperatures hovering around 0F/-20C.
