While traveling through Arizona for my "other" job, I made it a point to go to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I have been to the Grand Canyon many times but never made it to the northern side so I wasn't about to miss this chance. I had heard that were a lot less people here but that was an under statement. Compared to the more convenient southern rim this place was a ghost town. I was pleasantly surprised to have the place to myself almost every time I went out to shoot. This picture was taken near Bright Angel Point shortly after the sunrise. I thought my morning was going to be a bust because of the thick low clouds but, like in most cases, patience paid off. About thirty minutes to an hour after sunrise the clouds gave way enough to let this beautiful light wash the walls of the main canyon opposite of me. I stitched three shots together using photoshop to get this final image. Thanks for any comments or criticisms!!!
