Seek The Light
Something a little different - Exploring the beautiful Ice Caves near Skatfafell in Iceland. Special thanks to our guide Aron, from LOCAL GUIDE - of Vatnajokull for helping us safely get to this location. The 45+mph winds on the way to the ice cave had blown away parts of a foot bridge and the heavy rains had created fast flowing rivers that didn't exist the day before.
When we arrived at the ice caves, I realized that the memory card from my camera and my extra memory cards were both in a bag in our car. Thankfully, I was able to snag a memory card I had from the second camera I had in my bag. A big thanks to Ray Yeager of RTY Photography LLC for kindly letting me take his D800 along on my trip to use as that second camera. Be sure to take a second to check out Rays page!
The ice caves can be very dangerous and should not be entered without a local expert. Our experience with www.localguide.is could not have been better even with the terrible weather.
I had uploaded this shot last night, but made a few minor adjustments later in the evening.
