I went hiking to the Gold Creek Basin today and it was snowing pretty consistently all day and so it wasn't really a day for wide, sweeping vistas and so I decided to focus on the "intimate landscape" instead.
These two leafs were basically wrapping around a small branch by the tip and really caught my eye. I set my back pack down, changed lenses from the 17-40 into the 100-400 to really be able to frame it better as I wasn't able to really walk any closer since I didn't have any snow shoes on to get off trail.
3 exposures blended together using multiple exposure blending techniques, luminosity selections and other advanced masking. I created a video detailing the process and it's available here: www.howardasnyder.com
