You can look back through my library of photographs and find Beyond Expectations--which is this same spot shot in the evening several weeks before. Here it is again in the morning light. The sloping flank on the left is Rattlesnake Mountain; in the distance is Mount Si and it's companion peaks. The stumps in the foreground are at least 100 or more years old and were cut down to make way for the interestingly named town of Moncton. The town was destroyed in the spring of 1915 when water from a newly created lake seeped into this valley town and filled up to become Rattlesnake Lake.
