Another image from mine and Mark Hepples photo walk. Believe it or not neither Mark or I had ever really explored or visited this part of London before for photography and we got our inspiration to visit St Georges Wharf from fellow contact Baggers 2013 and his image from this spot
I thought that it might be a good time to practice my LE work with my Big Stopper as I had not used it in a while and not used it on my new Sony A77. This was a 129 second exposure with my Lee Big Stopper and Lee 0.9 Hard ND Grad. Now I was fairly happy with the outcome however the only bit I am disappointed with was the clouds, there is no sense of movement. The clouds were moving but they did not have much in the way of breaks or different shades or tones, just grey. Also maybe I might have not needed to use my grad so next time I do a long exposure I am going to experiment with and without a grad. I think another problem might be is that I have done the exposure too long and the clouds just blend them selves out. Oh well practice makes perfect. :-)
I believe that this was the site of the crashed helicopter that crashed into the crane which you can just see to the right on my image. I am surprised that have still not moved it yet.
