These old beech trees are called "The Alley of Giants", they are some of the oldest beech trees that can be found here (around 400 years old) because they remain from a time where the people didn't cut this kind of trees at their base : they only cut one trunk and left the trees alive, so the trees are still there today and have very particular shapes.
We have huge snowfalls in central France at this moment, and some wind, so the huge trunks of the Giants are beautifully ensnowed.
At the moment of the picture, some snow was falling rapidly coming in front of me, creating fog in the distance. It was quite short and strange, but really nice conditions to capture this place in a harsh winter mood.

Allier, France.
