Whenever I am storm chasing, there's a certain amount of scrambling that goes on just as a general mood. I'm straining my neck in the car with one eye on the road, another on the sky. What information can I get on my phone in the middle of nowhere? How long till sunset? Are there any tornadoes on the ground? Am I in danger?

So when sunset comes, the scrambling comes to a crescendo as you either continue searching for the tornado or give up and try to find a decent spot to get good shots of the sunset. This time I ended up speeding down a dirt road and trespassing on someone's pasture to get a gorgeous sunset with golden mammatus and crepuscular rays and even some lightning to add into the mix.

This photo was taken as the sunset had passed. I didn't have a shutter cable yet and so I was taking consecutive 6 second exposures until this bolt hit. No filters but I did add some burning and dodging in lightroom.
