When I go out with an intention to photograph something I very frequently end up creating images of something else. I was determined to find fall aspen in the high country of Steens and Hart Mountains this week. Even though fall color in those areas usually occurs in September, everything was still green. Instead I had my mind blown by by these delicate grasses glowing in the light of the sunrise. I found this location in the lowlands of Warner Valley below Hart Mountain. Let expectation go and experience the world as it comes.
