It's incredible to think that this piece of ice, once part of the Vatnajokull Glacier in Iceland, is thousands of years old. Having reached the end of the glacial shelf, it broke up, floated around Jokulsarlon lagoon, and then drifted out to sea. Each step of this process carving its' shape, finally washing up on shore to melt away into the ocean which pushed it back to land.
