This is one of the last few images of the Snowy Owls that I took on our last day in Washington State. Unfortunately, we lost what could have been stellar sunset colors behind this guy. Only a faint shade of pink was there. None the less, I kept on this guy until he/she got bored with us a flew off to prepare to hunt for the night. It was interesting to see how much more active they became as the evening wore on and the seemingly knew that dinner time was approaching. If you did not know, these owls typically rest during the day and hunt at night. The background in this image beyond the grass blowing in the wind is Greys Harbor.
