For all the fun and opportunities I had with Ring-Tailed Lemurs during my brief visit to Madagascar in September 2011, the one thing I had been hoping for the most was a chance to photograph baby Ring-Tailed Lemurs, as to me they are one of the cutest species of baby ever, but when I got there I was told their mating is seasonal, and apparently I was very much between seasons.
Being that my trip to Madagascar was possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity, soon as I returned home to Thailand I began praying for some of the Ring-Tailed Lemurs at Khao Kheow Open Zoo to get frisky! Having waited patiently for over a year in anticipation of someone in the troop going the extra mile for me, frankly I gave up hope.
Then to my utter delight my friend, the head of veterinary staff, gave me a call a few weeks ago to let me know I could break out the cigar!!! :^)
More to follow, meanwhile thanks for your time and wishing you all a wonderful whatever it is you're about to do next!
