Dear friends, I often say that, in itself, is not the effort involved in making one photo that gives it value, since, to the observer, what matters is whether he/she likes the outcome or not. However, the fact is that, quite often, only with effort one can achieve a goal, which was the case in this image. To find a waterfall that allowed to frame the Cerro Fitz Roy in the background was necessary to travel 45 km walking (8h walking time), divided in three days: one to find the location (without success), another to find it (but, at sunrise, the light was not the best) and, finally, a third day to shoot at sunrise (and that resulted in this photograph). In short, the personal goal was achieved, with the Cerro Fitz Roy lit like a red-hot metal tip, contrasting with the intense cold which made itself felt. Now if the result is good, that opinion is not up to me :-) Again, my thanks for your comments on the images from Patagonia. Have a great week-end!
