I was out at a local waterfront park with the intentions on trying to capture the NY skyline in a panoramic image. I waited till the sun went down and the lights on the buildings and george washing bridge to light up. I took a few series of shots for my pano and figured I'd experiment a bit. So, I shot this 3 image HDR simply to see how a night HDR would look.. There was not much difference, however I loved how much detail I pulled out of the bridge and buildings in the skyline so I decided to keep it. I later converted to black and white since I did not like what the HDR conversion did to the lights. I am fairly pleased with this image. I intentionally went with a "painterly" look since I have seen painting look very similiar to this and I wanted to emulate the look. Enjoy!
