As some of you may recall, last year I shared here a collection of images I captured over the course of five months at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, here in Thailand, of three delightful African Lion cubs from when they were just under a week old. The most widely recognised of those pictures would surely be the one I chose for my avatar (aka “Roaring Practice”), which is Ying Yai, the eldest of the three little princesses.

Sadly I haven't seen them since they moved to their new home, Songkhla Zoo in the south of Thailand, about seven months ago, although I hear all three are doing very well. I was just thinking about this morning as it happens, and it occurred to me that they must be a year old by now, and checking my records apparently I'm off by four days, as they were born on 24th February 2012 ... if only I'd remembered before I could have sent them a card …... or something to chew on that perhaps would remind them of me!

Anyhow, thought I'd look through my files to see if I had one I've yet to show you and I came up with this, one I captured of Ying Yai during an afternoon session I had with her when she was exactly four months old to the day.

Hope you're all enjoying a wonderful Thursday :^)
