Finding contrasts in nature, even subtle contrasts, can add visual interest to an image and provide a resting point for your viewer's eye. While roaming the headlands below Mendocino, I was drawn to these two purple sea daisies growing amongst a sea of yellow siblings. The smokey sky was the result of some nearby forest fires, and that allowed for the sky/ocean to turn a similar color as the daisies. I just waited for the sun to lower into position and completed my image.
