The Czech Velvet Revolution took place during November/ December 1989.
These pictures were taken during the lead up to the general strike and culminating in a mass protest as a 1/4 million people gather on Wenceslas Square in the centre of Prague on Nov. 20, 1989. A couple of days later, the Communist leadership of the country resigned.
