I snowshoed up the West approach to TDH with a fellow photographer Ben Coffman. It was 7.5 miles round trip with a 1,700 foot elevation gain. by the time we got back to the car 9 hours later I was pretty tired. earlier while descending a steep slope I fell face first and slid a short way down the trail. I had a large pack on and needed Bens help to get up, I felt like a turtle on it's back ;) It was great fun shooting at night in the snowy mountains even if there was a lot of light pollution.
