Pacu Jawi, or Bull Race is a cultural event held regularly in Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. It is always held at a muddy paddy field with a jockey rides a pair of bulls while holding on only to the the bulls' tails. In order to force the bulls to run faster, the jockey would bite on the bulls's tails. Winners are determined on how the jockey controlled the bulls and able to run in a reasonably straight line.
