I was spending the night at my girlfriend's house and I had brought my camera with my new 2.8 lens to try out the next day. I mentioned that maybe we could take a trip to this nearby field with a well so I could try it at night. She said that she had a better spot. We drove up into the country maybe 30 minutes from her house until she said to stop at the reservoir. It was perfect! Now when we left her house it was around 45 degrees, and by the time we had gotten there it was around 35.. I was still dressed for the afternoon which was around 55 degrees. Needless to say I was freezing. Star trails were not an option. Anyway, I quickly setup shivering, calculated my exposure and fired off this shot. I didnt think it would turn out well, but was pleasantly surprised after processing to find the stars reflected in the water and beautiful tones and colors in the sky. Enjoy!
