My family and I drove out to the Dalles a few months ago to enjoy the incredible stars. There was no moon, so the stars were especially bright. I set my camera up in the 23 degree temperatures, and used a timer so that I had time to hop up onto the jeep with my mom. This was a 30 second exposure at f/2.8 and 5000 ISO. It was like our own drive in movie! I am really excited to announce that this image just won the National Gepgraphic Student Photography Contest:
This image was inspired by some of the incredible images taken by Ben Canales. If you get a chance check out his portfolio!
