As a child growing into my teen years my immediate family and I along with our entire family would make the journey to Port Aransas (aka Port "A") for a summer vacation each year.

My Dad and brothers along with other family members would always go fishing at all of the local fishing piers to do some night fishing. I recall many late nights and into the early morning hours fishing, sleeping, etc on those piers.

I took this photo of the pier that extends into the Intercoastal Waterway where there is a very deep channel that allows the the larger vessels to navigate into the Port of Corpus Christi. This pier was probably my Dad's favorite along with my older brother because of the possible opportunity to catch the larger fish on occasion.

My wife and I spent quite some time on this pier yesterday evening just breathing in (if you will) all of the memories gone by at Port "A".

The legacy of visiting here has carried on with my family and now my daughter and her husband.

I didicate this photo (memories) to my "Dad" who without question dedicated his time and himself to create those great memories.

Memories are a precious Gift that allow us to re-visit family, places and so many other things in our own time and place. Always seek the memories.

Enjoy - Happy Shooting.
