This glacier, in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, is one of the runoffs from the huge Southern Icefield in Patagonia, that feeds may other glaciers as well, including the better known Perito Moreno in Argentina.
As usual in this region, we had sun, rain, mist, clouds all within a period of 40 mins or less. I took the opportunity when a couple of sun rays broke through the clouds to shine on the ice giving it this color and highlighting the textures and patterns.
The colors may seem manipulated, but they are really like this.
