The Blyde River Canyon situated in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa has some of the most fantastic scenery in South Africa. The canyon is the 3rd largest in the world and most certainly the greenest canyon of all. I had scouted my location the day before and arrived on this cool morning about an hour before sunrise and waited for magic time. Shortly before sunrise some thick cloud and mist started rolling into the canyon and I thought the sunrise would flop but for a brief period the sun found a gap through the clouds and streamed over the mountainsides and into the canyon and created a truly magical scene.
