Most pictures I shoot are not really a product of much planning. I meet up with someone, possibly with a few ideas, and then make something up as we go along. This is fun of course but very often I really like to actually plan ahead and to just shoot one or very few pictures with a very specific idea in mind. It’s a bit like shooting a short film where you actually have a script or at least some idea of what you want to do. All in all this an approach I would love to get into a bit more. I have several ideas in that regard but I still struggle to do more of those planned shoots (i.e. can’t get my ass up). This photo was shot in May 2010. It features my sister Melanie and her now husband David. I also needed someone to help out with the overall setup, so Robert supported me here, thanks for that again. Ok anyway: I had this idea of this kissing couple and of those sparks that appear on the girls fingers and yes, it is a bit related to the drawing you saw a few posts earlier. I also came up with that bit of poetry or an excerpt of a song if you will. Something that might go with some more stuff I will shoot at one point or another. This is a new version with more subdued colors. I posted two other versions on my webpage initially one in black&white the other in color. I figured that a version inbetween might possibly be the nicest :)And yes I uploaded this photo before. This is a new version without the watermark.
