I missed the blooms in the orchard by a few days. I did make it up there one morning when they were in full bloom but it had frosted that night and the smudge pots were going all through the valley and the sky looked worse than those above L.A. on a stagnant day. I thought about posting one but it really does look bad. The very top of Mt. Hood is all you can see above the smoke. Not very appealing even if the blossoms were off the charts. Anyway, this shot is from Monday. I had spent the weekend on the Olympic Peninsula and as I crossed the Columbia River heading into Portland I decided to add a couple hours to my trip and head over to the barn and see if any blooms were left. Sadly no, but here's my shot from there anyway.
