倒影(reflection) is a popular compositional technique amongst photographers, especially when all the lights are on during the blue hour. It was raining cats and dogs non-stop the first week when I was there, finally there was a break and the clouds looked pretty dramatic, I headed out to 中正紀念堂 (Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall) and the condition was definitely optimal. There were about a few dozen photographers out there already, where I was standing there was no way to get both buildings with the reflections in one frame with my 1.3x crop sensor. I had to resort to shoot panoramically. It was indeed a very special moment with the beautiful light and beautiful architecture. On the left is the National concert hall - 國家劇院 and on the right is the main gate to the memorial hall - 中正紀念堂. The reflected buildings and the sky really gave this image some pop. This is a 6 image composition. 3 were focused on the left structure and 3 were focused on the main gate. The panoramic stitching and processing were done in Photoshop CS. Hope you enjoy it and have a great week ahead.
