One of the unique characteristics of this mosque is the peacock at the center of its dome. If you stand at the corner of the Mosque and wait for 12 noon ( summer Season) , the light coming in through left sided window reflects on the inner dome and creates a peacock as u can see in this picture( this is not a light trick or camera one ). This fascinating light event has been the case since its completion in 1616. The entire building is made of 1 to 2 cm small tiles each put next to each other for 8 years and nothing is painted .This was the only angel i could get the entire thing in one shot and had to wait long to get this light event.Part of Iran visual Tour Series.
