This most ancient structure in County Donegal, Ireland is dated at approximately 1,700BC and is "the oldest building in Ireland". The ring fort sits 750 feet above sea level and the surrounding view of the countryside and sea is both incredible, and tactically sound. I loved that we were able to visit on this beautifully foggy day. It is one of my favorite spots visited on the "Emerald Isle".
