I was teaching a 2-day workshop in NYC (Yonkers, specifically), and everyone was really revved up on the first day of shooting. I told everyone about an abandoned greenhouse that I saw the day before, and we all agreed to stick together as a group even after our 9 hours together to go exploring and shooting. It takes real dedication on my workshoppers part to keep shooting after an absolutely exhausting 5-hours-straight of taking pictures, but they were troopers and made the time even more special. We headed over, about 13 people trespassing all at once (hehe!) and we explored! We took pictures! We had the best time :) We ended up going underground in the basement via a very steep ladder down and we took pictures in all the dark and mysterious corners of the building. I put my sister-in-law, pictured here, in this mucky water...glass everywhere, getting chilly out...and she was such an amazing model. She has goosebumps covering her arm and back in this photo. I love her for it, and for many other reasons, too.
