This, of course, is the Delicate Arch in Arches N.P., the most photographed arch, symbol of Utah. When I got there, there were about 300 photographers rubbing elbows, trying to jockey into "sweet spot" (most likely the classic view of framing the snow peaks of La Sal Mountains under the arch). As the sun sets, whenever someone tried to get closer to the arch to take a shot, he/she will get jeered and booed and urged to leave! Example of bad photographic manner. And I just don't understand why people want to take the same shot every 30 sec? It turned out I was one of the very few shooting from different angles by walking along the quite hazardous slickrock "bowl" around it.This "alternative view" suits me perfectly fine! If you look carefully, I included a person under the shadow to show the scale.
