A wonderful, gloomy-looking morning awaited us on the super-jeep trip during my first 2013 'Land of Ice
' workshop. A fresh layer of snow was deposited the night before, and it was silky-white as far as the eye could see. We rode until the verge of the glacier and toured the area. I found this frozen river, and decided to shoot it together with the soft-colored cloud adorning the mountain further away.Since I was about 20cm far from the foreground, I used a 17mm tilt-shift lens for extended depth-of-field, so I could capture the whole scene in focus.
If you'd like to visit and shoot these awesome locations under my dedicated guidance, please check out my upcoming 'Land of Ice' (south Iceland) and 'Winter Paradise' (northern Iceland) photography workshops next January!
