This photograph is part of an on-going project I have been working on for the past several years. By incorporating elements of impressionism into the realm of photography, I hope to alter the way we view everything photographic (cameras, images, light, etc).
For example, instead of the camera being a device that records a specific moment, location, or event, I look at my camera more like one would look at a painter's tools (canvas, brushes, and the like). By using extended movements and lengthened exposures, I hope to provide a sense of the entire scene's experience (feelings, visuals, thoughts, etc).
More thoughts to come...thanks for stopping by!
