The balloons you see came from a very sad and yet touching story.
I met this small crowd of people on a hill, overlooking the beautiful town of Kendal (Lake district national park).

Being me, I had to know the story and I expected it was either a competition (the farthest away ballon label that is found, is the winner, or was it a charity event with a balloon release at the end?

Nope!

This is a bunch of people from a small and tight knit community that had lost one of their own.

I won't say his name as it was a very private affair.
He was young. Way too young.

He left a young and pretty wife and two lovely children. (the Blue balloons were from them)

Everyone thought all was fine but,

He went out one day and parked his van at the side of the road and jumped into the path of a speeding truck.

I was totaly floored by this as, looking at these people, there was always a mountain of support and love for him.

I has made me want to ask each and everyone of my friends.

"Tell me how you are inside"!

"Tell me if I can help".

You never know what is going on inside the mind of a friend.

Be there in time so you will never be in a group of folks, sending a message to the sky that says.

"We still love you and we hope you have found your peace"
