Stars are glowing bright above our Ford Mustang parked at the edge of Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in the Death Valley.
I wanted to shoot the dunes at night with stars, but when I got to the parking lot, I abandoned this area — it's very dark and you cannot see anything. To get closer to the area with a good composition, one has to travel 30-40 minutes (during day, and probably double that in the night) in the sands for a good composition.
So I decided to take couple of shots of the car while we were deciding what to do. Here's what came out of it ;)
The light below the car is made with a flashlight, highlighting certain areas of the pavement for a few seconds.
