Here's a scene showcasing Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona during one of last summer's monsoon storms. This particular night was pretty crazy as I was dodging zero visibility downpours, lightning and hail for a good portion of the evening. When a break in the storm produced a vibrant rainbow shortly before sunset, I made a mad dash to this spot. There was still lightning off in the distance, so I continually shot 2-5 second exposures hoping to nab a bolt. During this process, I'm cursing my luck cuz the rainbow was starting to fade. Finally, after more than 3 dozen attempts, this bolt of lightning knifed its way through the sky and down behind Courthouse Butte in the distance. Success!
