In Uniontown, Washington, tucked away in the Palouse Region of eastern Washington, a wonderful little site to visit is the Artisans at Dahmen Barn. It has quite the history, as well as quite the future. One of the attractions, besides being a haven for artists to display their crafts, is the "wheel fence" which was originally built to display the artistic talents and love for fine art by the owner, but then became much more than that. Friends began to donate their "wheels", which were then incorporated into the fence - each wheel had a particular history behind it - so many varied wheels, over 1,000 in total. Quite fascinating!
Happy Father's Day to the dads out there!
