Nome, Alaska | June | Canon 1D4 | Canon 600mm f4 IS | laptop editWe had photographed Red-necked Grebes the day before with front light, so when I saw some mist on the water and beautiful backlight I asked the group to give it a try. We got in waders to set our cameras at eye level. Then the grebes turned toward each other and started calling and you could see their breath! This morning will certainly be a highlight to be remembered in my bird photography career.
