Recently I headed up the California coast with fellow photographers Jave and Alan to see some of the world's tallest trees - the coastal redwoods. These trees are absolute behemoths and dwarf everything around them. Every spring, the wild rhododendrons at the base of the forest bloom their brilliant pink flowers. Coupled with some coastal fog, the forest becomes eerie yet beautiful with the splashes of pink.
