For over a thousand years the Anasazi Moon House Ruin has been hidden among the forbidding labyrinths and canyons of Cedar Mesa Utah. Moon House is a unique structure containing both an inner and outer section and built with two fortified walls. The center room is decorated with numerous pictographs of the moon, giving this ruin its unique name.

This image is taken within the inner wall of Moon House. The pictographs of the moon are clearly seen on the left hand side.

Reaching the ruin is a formidable task requiring a strenuous hike down the slick rock face of a canyon followed by a strenuous hike up the opposite canyon wall. It is this sheer remoteness that has protected this incredible ruin so well. In one of the rooms there are thousand year old corn cobs scattered across the floor. It was an amazing and deeply spiritual pilgrimage.
