Flash is the rainforest photographer's best friend when used creatively. I took this image of a glass frog on a Heliconia leaf at night in a cloud forest in Costa Rica. What interested me just as much as the frog itself was the leaf and the vine tendril. To create the backlit scene I wanted, I held a flash behind the leaf.
This technique and many more are described in my new e-book The Guide to Tropical Nature Photography. Check it out here! http://www.theguidetotropicalnaturephotography.com
