Sometimes I forget the scale of Dartmoor national park, as I've spent many years exploring the fringes and the easily accessed locations it's easy to forget the true scale of this beautiful location. I planned a wild camp at Dartmoor's most remote tor, Fur Tor. Also known as the Queen of the Moor it boasts one of the most stunning views around. The trek there isn't a walk in the park as the majority of rivers the run off Dartmoor are sourced on or around Fur tor, resulting in some very boggy ground which is tricky in the driest times of the year let alone in winter.
