Crazy storm moved into southern Arizona tonight. Unfortunately, it completely missed Tucson and headed south towards Mexico. Had to chase it south to catch a shot of it. Apparently the border town of Nogales got pummeled with over 1000 reported strikes in 15 minutes. I believe it. The mountains between where I was and Nogales (thus blocking the lightning) were lit up constantly for over an hour, flashing at a rate of 20+ per minute. I was wishing I was closer and to the side of the mountains to be able to see the actual bolts.
