This is a re-edit from a previous image I posted back in february. I've always disliked the processing I did on that one, so I decided to give it another go. I've since deleted the old version from my public profile. This is feeling much better to me, not as crazy and out there as the original, and much cleaner.

Mono Lake, California and north end of the milky way. The light on the horizon comes from light pollution of some neighboring communities, but I like the glow.

4 shots, 1 exposure for the night sky, exif posted here, and then 3 focus stacked shots for the tufas which were taken right after sunset. I was wedged in between that fore most tufa and another behind me, with the camera very low to the ground looking up. Difficult shot to take in the dark!
