Horseshoe Bend was a spectacular place! The sheer size of it is breathtaking. The rock textures are stunning and the glow there just after sunset is brilliant. Having my tripod set as close to the edge as possible had my girl friend nervous and I have to say after leaning over a couple times I was a bit intimidated too! Walking away from that shoot was a bit relieving. One slip there and it's all over!
This is not your traditional Horseshoe photograph. I loved this composition as the last light of day hit the canyons edge.
I photographed it at both sunset and sunrise to see how it looked under both lighting conditions. Was not much sleep on this trip!
