The stretch of coastline between the Salinas do Janubio and El Golfo is characterized by bizarre rock formations. A section called Los Hervideros where the rocks where formed as bridges into the sea or the water caves. The tongue-shaped rock protruding into the sea is walkable, with corresponding waves splashing water several meters high through the caves to the top.
